Admittedly I think Chris Cornell’s Billie Jean cover is much better than Weezer’s. Otherwise, this album is fantastic.

I haven’t listened to this yet but the radio peoples (Free Beer and Hot Wings from good ol’ Michigan) mocked it mercilessly.

Glad to see they’re keeping it teal

Can’t be worse than Raditude

Jealousy is an ugly mistress. Or something like that. They didn’t do much in terms of re-imagining
the songs, but Weezer is great and the album is great.

It’s much better, in fact. Raditude was...uh...not their best.

This is hilarious .
And Chris Cornell’s Billie Jean cover is definitely one of the best covers ever.

It was, in fact, NOT rad

Same with his cover of Nothing Compares 2 U. Basically, Chris Cornell’s cover of {Insert Song Name Here} is one of the best covers ever.

So I have mixed feelings about Weezer lately. The Toto thing genuinely confused me as to what they’re up to. I love a well done cover that brings something new to a song but it was exactly like Africa’s version except for sightly kickier drums.
Then you have the music video which has Weird Al which is awesome but still managed to be boring outside of the accordion .
Im listening to the new album now but my opinion has stayed mostly the same. These sounds like they could have been recorded in The 80s.
